March 2007 saw the opening of a brand new
Costa Teguise cabaret venue. Opposite the Coronas Playa Hotel,
Cheers has now opened its doors to residents and holiday makers.
This is a fantastic venue with live entertainment from 10pm
every night of the week! And when the live entertainment is
finished, there is karaoke so you can sing to your heart’s
content.
Mondays: Lee’s Muppet show
Tuesdays: Tony Russell’s Comedy show
Wednesdays: Dave Hanssens Guitar show
Thursdays: Stevie singing with his guitar
Fridays: Sharon – singing sensation
Saturdays: Double Trouble, tribute rock band
Sundays: Comedy drag show with Miss Sparkle Lee
This place gets very busy, so if you can’t
get inside to watch the shows, then fear not – because there are
screens outside so you can watch them from the terrace. There
are also 4 televisions inside, and a projector screen, so you
don’t have to miss a game. While the footie is on – there is hot
finger food available. Wave those chicken wings and ribs with
pride as your team scores a goal. Your favourite soaps are also
shown – so you don’t have to miss a minute whilst away from
home.
The food is homemade, and of an
international flavour, so guaranteed to please the fussiest of
palates. And look out for their Sunday Roast – which has already
proved to be a firm favourite with Cheers’ visitors.
The friendly staff will make you feel more
than welcome, and there’s even a secure kiddies play area with
their favourite shows playing… so you can chill out knowing they
are safe. There are pool tables and internet stations too (well,
you’ll want to log into the Canary Nightlife forum and boast
about what a great time you are having won’t you?!)
What? You want more? Then head to the bar,
which happily serves all your favourite drinks, and has a huge
range of cocktails too.
Getting a taxi to Cheers bar? Then keep
your receipt, because Cheers will deduct your taxi fare value
from your bill… providing it is from within the resort.
