The British Cafe
The British Cafe Forum
The British Café in Costa
Teguise has been serving up the greatest cooked breakfast and
English snacks since 1999. The very smiley Jude and Stu make
everyone feel welcome with their chatter and Gemma the waitress
is attentive and friendly too.
The terrace was refurbished in 2008, and now you can sit out in
the sun, and much away happily, whilst watching the world go by.
The British café has a wide menu with all your favourite British
foods… and at great prices too! The prices have not gone up
since 2005 – and yet the quality is always top notch. There are
plenty of British magazines for you to have a flick through
whilst you wait, and a photo wall.. so go and see if there are
any familiar faces on it.
Sandwiches, toasties, burgers, chip butties, fresh ice cream
milkshakes, a selection of kiddies’ meals and of course a range
of breakfasts are all available every day except Saturday, from
9am until around 4pm – with the food being available a little
later in the winter months. The tea is Typhoo… and the coffee is
Nescafe, with the milk served in little cow shaped jugs. There
are a range of wines available, as well as all your favourite
soft drinks, and Dorada Beer too. Keep an eye on the specials
boards by the door too… as Stu and Jude like to keep adding
extra variety to the menu.
To get to The British Café from Avenida del Mar – head into the
town square, and turn right through the walkway by the
bandstand. Keep walking for a minute or so in that direction,
and through to the next square. The British Café is on the
right… just past the Scots and Wry, and just behind Banco
Popular. As they say themselves, “Don’t pass by, give us a
try!!!”
